Protector Targa is Rayglass's enclosed-cabin range: a pilothouse deep-vee RIB built for owners who want weather protection and a helm that stays dry at speed. Where the open-console Chase range prioritizes low weight and fast transitions on and off a swim step, Targa trades some of that agility for an enclosed structure suited to longer runs, colder water, and multi-hour passages, the kind of conditions common along the British Columbia coast.
The range spans four production hulls, from the 9m/31ft 310 Targa through to the 12.5m/41ft 410 Targa, each built to order with the same commercial-grade hull construction found in Protector's Coastguard, patrol, and superyacht-tender fleets worldwide. A fifth model, the 330R Targa, is a 2025 limited-edition performance variant built on the 330 Targa hull and powered by twin Mercury Racing 400R V10 outboards.
Protector Boats Canada is the exclusive Canadian dealer for Protector, and every Targa is built to order by Rayglass in Auckland, New Zealand. From our base in Vancouver, our team looks after every Targa through to handover in British Columbia. Choosing between Targa and Chase comes down to how the boat gets used. Chase suits owners who want an open console, lighter build, and fast in-and-out access as a support or chase boat. Targa suits owners who want enclosed weather protection and longer-range comfort for extended trips on BC's coastal waters.
