Protector Boats Canada
At 7.5 metres, the Protector 250 Chase is the smallest boat in the Chase range, and the easiest to own day to day. It's light enough for a single mid-size tow vehicle, straightforward to launch from a Vancouver boat ramp or a superyacht's stern garage, and small enough to fit where a 30-footer can't.
That size is also the point. Most 250 Chase owners aren't buying a standalone boat, they're buying a support vessel: a tender that rides behind a yacht, a chase boat that shadows a race fleet, or a family runabout that doubles as both. The hull carries the same Rayglass build standard as the larger Protectors, from the same Auckland yard that supplies patrol and umpire boats to America's Cup and SailGP campaigns, scaled down without cutting into freeboard or ride quality.
On board, the dash has room for dual MFD screens, so navigation, radar and engine data can run side by side rather than stacked or shared. An optional onboard toilet turns day trips into weekends, and a large bimini gives the helm and forward seating real shelter from sun, wind and spray, useful on open water between Vancouver Island and the mainland, or wherever the boat sits at anchor for a few hours.

Protector Boats Canada
Every Protector sold in Canada is specified to one customer, and the 250 Chase is no exception. Engine choice spans 250 to 400hp, so the same hull can be set up as a modest, easy-to-handle tender or pushed toward genuine chase-boat pace. Beyond power, the main decisions are the onboard toilet, worth considering for anyone using the boat beyond day trips, bimini and canopy configuration, seating layout, upholstery and colour, and the electronics fitted to the dual-MFD dash. We work through each of these with you before the build starts, so the boat that arrives in British Columbia is already set up for how you'll actually use it.

Most owners run it as a yacht tender, a chase or support boat, or a family boat for day trips. Its compact size makes it easy to tow and launch while still handling open water.
